I've seen a few movies .. 'Mysterious Skin' is one of them. To be honest, I was not mentally prepared to see the movie, gave me as a shock to see him and to end it left me thinking for days. The movie touches on themes that one would normally see in movies. I'm not saying it is bad, on the contrary, this movie is very good, the actors are very talented and all the scenes are very well made and always kept me interested with the plot and characters.
